I learned that in English when verbs are conjugatedto the past they can follow the rules (regular) or not ( irregular ).
When the verb follows the rule there are four ways toclasificar which are:
-When it ends in Y but has a vowel beforeacresentamos ED.
example:
play = played
"I played video game last night"
-when the verb ends in Y but NOT have a vowel before we take the Y and add EDI.
examples:
lay = laied
Pay = paied
say = saied
"I had studied for that test"
-when the verb has a few letters and have the training "cvc" consonant + vowel + consonant, the last letter.
to beg = b (as) + e (vowel) + g (as) = begged (verbbeg)
if the verb has more than one syllable and you have the training "cvc" only doubles the last letter isthe emphasis in pronunciation is on the secondsyllable.
example:
control = 2 syllables = emphasizing the second syllable, there is aduplication of the "l" = controlled.
"she stopped smoking one year ago"
-when the verb end E add the D
example:
"I love to drive to scholl"
